Duties
Collaborated with other discipline leads to keep the information going back and forth between Level Design, Environment Art, Narrative, Audio, Visual Effects, and QA.
Lead a team of senior and junior level designers and helped keep them on track to deliver content on time and in budget.
Created a new paper design and greybox process that simplified their previous approach as well as made the paper design Miro Board accessible to the entire team. Multiple disciplines can see progress and updates and LDs updated their Miro Boards and changes went into their levels.
Mentoring all of the LDs on my team as well as helping to mentor other leads.
Worked closely with Game and Narrative Directors to ensure vision was properly conveyed to the team.
PRocess
Regular standup meetings to keep all LDs on track and aware of each other’s work.
Regular meetings with other leads to keep in sync and up to date on what other disciplines are delivering.
Continuous conversations around what works and what doesn’t in our pipeline.
Daily playtests to provide feedback to the LDs.
